when you’re a busy mom and you’re running around getting stuff ready for your son’s birthday party and working on a book deadline and checking off to-do’s for an event the next day and keeping up with your website and managing family life, you don’t mind at all when you glance over and find that the baby has put himself in “dog jal” (as dubbed by my 7 year old) and is playing happily with his blocks inside.

the dog on the other hand, doesn’t quite know what to make of it.

Gasp! Woah. What a great collection of everythings you have here, Mindy, I’ve been exploring all around… It was great to be at the retreat today and again and again thanks for asking KMM to show herself!

i found my fourteen month old sitting in a frying pan yesterday at the front door. he’s in the “push everythign that moves” stage and also “take everything out of cabinets” stage so he pulled out this HUGE frying pan. i don’t know how he didn’t smash his toes. then pushed it through four rooms and then sat in it and said “Sit!”
